Derelict petrol station becomes Enterprise’s second Wolverhampton office

Derelict for the last 15 years, the former Total garage on Cannock Road has now been turned into Enterprise’s second office in Wolverhampton to accommodate strong growth.

The company has had an office on the Birmingham Road for 15 years, where it employs eight staff and operates a fleet of around 180 cars and vans. Enterprise has seen demand from local businesses and residents grow sharply, which has prompted the expansion to a second site and the resulting job opportunities.

The new site has been refurbished whilst maintaining some of its original features and now employs another four people.

The site will be Enterprise’s 36th branch in the West Midlands region, which is one of the company’s busiest areas.

Curt Craig, general manager of Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s West Midlands Region, said: ‘Wolverhampton was one of the very first branches that we opened when we started up our UK business back in the 1990s. It is a very busy operation given the number of businesses in and around the area, many of which need rental cars to keep employees mobile.

‘This new branch is very important as it’s created the opportunity for us to regenerate the derelict site, which many local people considered to be an eyesore. We look forward to welcoming people to our new location.’
