Rawlings, director of BCF Wessex Consultants, is to retire from the consulting and training practice later this month. The business was founded in 2011 with fellow director Jeff Whitcombe – who shares a background in working at ‘Big 4’ accountancy firm Deloitte – and specialises in business car finance, taxation and software development.

Rawlings also spent 12 years at Deloitte as a senior manager, where he led the Business Car Consulting team, and 14 years at United Dominions Trust, where he was fleet sales and leasing manager.

Commenting on his retirement, Rawlings said: “I want to devote more time to my interests outside the fleet industry, and I’d like to say thank you to all the friends and clients who have supported me during my many years in fleet consultancy.”

He added: “After my retirement I’m confident that BCF Wessex Consultants will continue to provide the high level of service and professional advice our clients have come to expect.”

Jeff Whitcombe of BCF Wessex Consultants added: “I’d like to wish David a happy retirement and I’m sure many people within the automotive industry will be sorry to see him go after such a long and successful career.”

Looking to the future, Whitcombe added: “As far as BCF Wessex Consultants is concerned, we anticipate continuing our collaboration with HRUX, which was announced a few months ago, as we seek to expand the range of services we are able to provide to clients.”
