David Myers becomes new CEO at Rivus

By / 7 months ago / Latest News / No Comments

Rivus has appointed David Myers as its new CEO, effective 1 December.

David Myers, CEO at Rivus

Myers assumes the role from 1 December 2020 and brings more than 20 years of senior management experience from a range of industries, including technology, fire & security and power. He was most recently involved in distribution as regional managing director at heating and plumbing specialist Wolseley.

He replaces Henry Brace who stepped down 11 months ago. Previously managing director, Brace assumed the CEO role after Rivus – formerly BT Fleet Solutions – was acquired by Aurelius Equity Solutions from BT Group in late 2019, and he led the business through the sale process.

Commenting on the new appointment, Michael Scheidler, chief development officer at Rivus, said “We took our time to find the ideal candidate – and now we’re there, I’m thrilled to welcome David into Rivus. His track record in growth, depth of understanding of sales, commercial operations, experience of digitalisation and his excitement about joining our business make him the ideal leader to develop our business further and continually look to better serve our customers.”

Scheidler will also continue to support the development of Rivus.

Since its acquisition, there’s been a raft of new developments at Rivus, including its most recent move into offering servicing and maintenance for CPL ‘cherry pickers’ while owner Aurelius is also expanding its CV focus with the acquisition of Pullman Fleet Services.

Rivus also worked hard to ensure continued service levels during the first lockdown and has signed up new customers, including two major contract wins: Kier Group and Highways England.

David Myers said: “Rivus is a fantastic business, with a deep talent pool and strong customer base, so I am delighted to be joining the team. My mission is to lead Rivus to even greater things during such an exciting time for both the company and the industry.”
