CVS signs up to major tyre deal with ATS Euromaster

The deal will see ATS Euromaster supply and service tyres across the whole of the company’s 2,300-strong fleet of light commercials and heavy trucks, which are hired to customers on long and short-term rental agreements.

A key part of the deal was ATS Euromaster’s demonstration of the steps its technicians take to maximise tyre longevity for customers. In the case of CVS, this will include a programme of routine fleet inspections, with tyres being regrooved, twinned and turned on the rim to optimise efficiency.

Peter Findlay, general manager for fleet operations at CVS, said: ‘Cost is always a major player in any tender process but what impressed us with ATS was their commitment to extracting the maximum life out of every tyre on our fleet, plus the benefits of the fleet inspections from a safety perspective. It’s another area where we are adding value for customers.’

Under the deal, ATS Euromaster has also committed to  transferring almost every aspect of its service delivery and reporting online – from service and defect sheets to fleet checks and invoicing.

ATS Euromaster will fit predominantly Avon tyres to all light commercials, and Taurus and Encore tyres for trucks within the fleet. The deal also includes access to the ATS 24/7 roadside rapid response service.
