Motiva Group will also become the sole provider of vehicles for the firm, an independent provider of fire and security services in the UK, as part of a new long-term partnership.

The deal follows the roll-out of Motiva’s new fleet management programme designed to rival the best in the industry, and is expected to lead to considerable long-term savings for CFS.

Finance director Stephen Butler said: “By outsourcing the management of our entire fleet through Motiva Group, we expect to improve control and reduce costs.

“Motiva were very competitive on pricing and demonstrated an innovative entrepreneurial approach, which aligned with the culture of CFS.

“The quality, strength and responsiveness of Motiva’s customer service was another major factor, so I’m confident we’ve made the right choice.”

CFS plans to extend the relationship with Motiva Group in a move to consolidate its vehicle procurement strategy.

Butler added: “Motiva Group already supplies around 20% of the CFS fleet, but that will increase as other contracts expire until they become our sole providers.

“And because all of our vehicles will then be sourced from and managed by the same company, there should be substantial long-term advantages.

“It’s a policy which will deliver through a simple economy of scale, but there’ll also be many additional benefits such as the assurance of a more robust maintenance and repair function.”
