Complete e-mobility package to be offered by Athlon Car Lease and E.ON
The two firms will work together to provide a 'complete, competitively priced' fleet solution. This will combine "attractive" financing terms for electric vehicles from Athlon Car Lease Germany with a complete package from E.ON consisting of expert advice, an individually configured charging infrastructure, and maintenance of this infrastructure during the lease period.
E.ON will draw on its existing experience of marketing a variety of charging systems for residential and business customers in several countries across Europe.
'Cross-industry partnerships like this one are what we need to enable e-mobility to compete in a real market,' said Ruth Werhahn, head of [email protected], the company's special e-mobility initiative.
Athlon says that the move forms part of its commitment to the environment. At the start of 2010, it became the first leasing company in Germany to sign the Cleaner Car Contract, pledging to limit the average emissions of its new vehicle fleet for customers and employees to 120g/km by 2012.
'The partnership with E.ON will bring us even closer to achieving our climate-protection targets,' said Athlon managing director Ryjan Rutgers.
