Commercial auctions established in North Wales

Started in early March, the new auction has seen interest from organisations including Welsh utility companies and local dealers and traders as well as local authorities – so far four out of five of the authorities have signed up to use Wilsons Queensferry to sell their commercial vehicles.

'We spotted an opportunity,' said Andrew Conde, director of auction development at Wilsons Auctions. 'Local vendors wanted to keep their business local – but until now they had no choice but to take their business to England. We now operate on behalf of a lot of Welsh businesses and local authorities who are delivering quality stock. We in turn are attracting buyers from all England and Wales as they realise the commercial vehicle market is extremely buoyant and they are getting access to great quality stock in North Wales.'

Wilsons Auctions Queensferry held the most recent commercial auction on Good Friday and enjoyed a large number of vehicle entries from all over Wales and an excellent attendance from buyers. A total of 85% of vehicles auctioned sold at an average price of 98.7% of market cap – and Wilsons Auctions Queensferry says that demand for these vehicles is increasing as buyers become aware of the commercial opportunity.

'Buyers are buying at our Auctions,' said Mr Conde. 'We are going to need more stock as the market is delivering excellent returns at the moment. We believe with the momentum behind us, now is an excellent time for vendors to make the most of the opportunity to use Wilsons Auctions Queensferry to dispose of their commercial vehicle stock.'
