Citroën unveils Cxperience Concept ahead of Paris Motor Show debut
Citroën has released the first images and details about its new plug-in hybrid model, Cxperience Concept, ahead of the Paris Motor Show next month.
Styling highlights include a new front end, grille and updated signature headlights, alongside a concave rear window with a fin for improved aerodynamics.
Cxperience Concept features a technology-rich infotainment system and the ConnectedCAM Citroën, premiered on the new C3. All technology will be available for testing at the Paris Motor Show.
The emphasis on intelligent technology can also be seen in the choice of a plug-in hybrid solution, with the petrol engine developing between 150 and 200 hp and up to 80 kW of additional energy provided by the electric motor.
Cxperience Concept can be driven in all-electric mode in the city (ZEV -Zero Emissions Vehicle) where it has a range of up to 36 miles. On the motorway, the internal combustion engine takes over to deliver total power of up to 300bhp.
The 3kWh battery can be charged in 4.5 hours with a standard charging system, or in less than 2.5 hours with a 6.6 kW charger designed for connection to a 32A socket.
