Citroen DS3 Cabrio revealed

By / 12 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

DS3 Cabriolet features a full-length retractable fabric roof, which can be opened half way along the roof, all the way to the boot spoiler, and down the rear window at speeds of up to 75mph. Citroën is offering three colour options for the fabric, which are matched to parts of the interior, and said fully closing the roof takes 16 seconds.

The roof mechanism has also been designed not to affect practicality too heavily compared to the hatchback. DS3 Cabriolet loses 40 litres of boot space, gains 25kg in weight and the rear spoiler slides down to the bottom of the rear window when the roof is fully retracted.

Pricing will be announced closer to its launch in early 2013. Expect engine options to be similar or identical to the hatchback, potentially including an e-HDI version with CO2 emissions just under 100g/km.
