Citroën has unveiled its C-Aircross Concept compact crossover, which debuts at the Geneva Motor Show next month and shows a possible future product strategy for the brand.

The concept design draws heavily on the signature C4 Cactus Airbump styling.

Believed to preview the forthcoming C3 Picasso, the concept shows how the family MPV could morph into the crossover segment.

Design draws heavily on the signature C4 Cactus Airbump styling, as also seen on the new C3, and the concept features a short bonnet, chunky body cladding and rear-hinged doors, along with brightly coloured personalisation elements. It also inherits the brand’s split level light signature at the front and 3D lighting at the rear.

The interior uses the latest evolution of the Citroën Advanced Comfort programme, with a light and airy cabin with a large panoramic glazed roof, two-tone floating dashboard and technologies including a colour head-up display, a single spoke steering wheel with intuitive controls, 12-inch touchscreen, rear facing cameras and wireless induction charging for smartphones.

The concept also features Citroën Connect Nav, a 3D connected navigation system with voice recognition, and ConnectedCAM Citroën, the on-board HD camera that premiered as a world first on the new Citroën C3.

Citroën has not revealed engine details but the C-Aircross Concept comes with Grip Control technology that offers five operational modes, covering standard, sand, off-road, snow and an ‘ESP Off’ setting.

The C-Aircross Concept makes its world premiere at Geneva Motor Show on 7 March.
