Christopher Ness appointed as UK managing director at Ubeeqo

Ness brings over 15 years’ experience in fleet management, as well as mobile solutions, and joins Ubeeqo from his position as project manager for Telefonica UK. He was responsible for the execution of the Drive from O2 solution, offering vehicle telematics.

Previously, he was head of specialist fleets for Ryder, delivering outsourced fleet solutions for key clients such as G4S and Lex Autolease for Royal Mail. This included achieving 100% fulfilment of committed HGVs for Royal Mail’s peak requirements, as well as exceeding revenue sales targets for the team, two years in a row.

Ness said: “Ubeeqo’s majority stakeholder is Europcar, giving the Bettercar solution a strong competitive edge in the UK fleet and business travel sectors. This position offers me the perfect opportunity to put my experience and understanding of the UK market to great use, to create a brand that challenges the status quo and changes the industry’s approach to fleet ownership and management.

“I am excited to be working with the team that came up with the original concept for Ubeeqo, identifying opportunities to forge strategic partnerships to ensure our corporate clients recognise the benefits and flexibility of the Bettercar offering. We aim to lead the fleet industry towards management and mobility solutions that focus on greener transport and reduce costs for businesses of all sizes.”
