By / 11 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

Cenex expects over 2,000 UK and international visitors to this year’s event, which will combine a technology exhibition with broad B2B focus, a Ride & Drive in a test track environment, networking activities and an extensive seminar programme. LCV2013 delegates will be able to attend seminar sessions taking place across three conference streams over both days of the event.

Professor Richard Parry Jones CBE, co-chairman of the Automotive Council, will deliver the key-note speech and present the opening seminar, alongside Phil Smith, chairman of the Technology Strategy Board.

Other seminar highlights will include –

  • E-mobility in the UK and beyond featuring IHS Automotive and OLEV.
  • Intelligent Mobility and Low Carbon Vehicles featuring the Transport Catapult, CGI and Cambridge University.
  • Low carbon vehicle technology presentations from Axeon, Ricardo and Jaguar Landrover.
  • Changing Landscape for public funding featuring Technology Strategy Board, EPSRC and BIS.
  • Access to Private Finance featuring business angles, venture capital and peer-to-peer funding platforms.

New to this year’s event is a Fleet Technology Expert Panel Question Time session taking place on 5th September 2013, at 14:00. The “Question Time” session will see an expert panel answer pre-submitted questions from fleet managers about ultra-low carbon vehicles. Fleet managers will be invited to personally pose their question to the panel on the day, and the audience will actively contribute to the direction of the debate.

Fleet managers are encouraged to submit questions at http://www.cenex-lcv.co.uk/low-carbon-vehicle-fleet-technology-expert-panel.asp.

Robert Evans, CEO of Cenex, commented: ‘LCV2013 provides excellent showcasing and networking opportunities and is unmissable for all those in the Low Carbon Vehicle Industry. We have put much thought into compiling our seminar programme ensuring it provides relevance to the industry and we are confident all speakers will provide invaluable knowledge and expertise.

'We encourage delegates to attend the two-day event as ultimately, it’s an opportunity for all those in the industry to come together to share knowledge, debate issues and create one vision for the future.’

The full seminar programme is available here, with additional sessions to be announced.
