cap hpi expands editorial team as part of global growth

With over 20 years’ experience in the motor industry, James Dower has been appointed as senior editor of Black Book. He joins the firm from a senior position as sales and marketing manager at Network Q. He has also held management positions in a number of dealer groups, including Pendragon, Reg Vardy, and Robins and Day.

The latest changes also see Adrian Rushmore move to a global role as editorial operations director with responsibility for coordinating used and future value teams, and new vehicle data in the UK and around the world.

Meanwhile Derren Martin is promoted to international car editor.

The company’s global expansion follows the recent integration of teams from cap and hpi and comes some 18 months after the firms were acquired by Solera, global provider of risk and asset management software and services to the automotive and property marketplace.

Commenting on the developments Adrian Rushmore said: “We are creating a larger team that will give us a greater concentration of talent under one roof. The team will service our UK and international operations from a knowledge hub in Leeds, a city already recognised as a global centre for data industries.

“Our international expansion will deliver real benefits for our customers as we retain the knowledge and experience of our editorial teams in the business, and add international data, market insight and intelligence.

“Our international expansion springboards from the expertise we have gained in the UK over the decades, and combines with the latest technology to drive new insights, new valuation methodologies, and data tools to support the automotive industry.”

It operates as part of Solera, a global provider of risk and asset management software and services to the automotive and property marketplace. Solera is active in over 75 countries across six continents.
