Teletrac campaign launched to simplify compliance process

Fleet management software provider Teletrac Navman has launched a new campaign calling on UK fleet operators to check whether their fleets are legally compliant.

Teletrac Navman's new compliance checklist aims to simplify the fleet management process.

From today, fleet operators will be able to download an interactive Fleet Compliance Checklist here.

The campaign was launched following a customer research survey which revealed a much wider than anticipated gap between perceived and actual levels of fleet compliance.

Peter Millichap, director of marketing at Teletrac Navman UK, commented: “Managing a fleet is incredibly involved. But one of the most time consuming parts of the job is adhering to the abundance of laws and other rules laid out by HSE, HMRC and DVLA. Given the level of bureaucracy involved, it’s no wonder there is confusion among professionals responsible for operating fleets.

“At Teletrac Navman, we are committed to making the lives of fleet managers and operators easier and that’s why we are publishing our first Annual Fleet Compliance Checklist. We want to make it simple to identify if something isn’t right.”

The checklist has been created in conjunction with Fleetcheck, a specialist fleet management consultancy.

Steve Hutton at Fleetcheck added: “It’s not just about complexity, it’s the breadth of things a fleet manager has to understand. Today’s fleet manager has to be a specialist in every area of vehicle, driver and risk management to be sure they are compliant.

“The potential consequences of being non-compliant are incredibly serious, so I’d urge anyone who looks after a fleet of vehicles to download the checklist and see how they measure up.”
