Budget 2016: Severn Bridge tolls to halve during 2018

By / 8 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

Currently set at £6.60 for passenger cars, £13.20 for light commercial vehicles and £19.80 for heavy goods vehicles, the tolls have increased by a third in the last ten years.

Halving the tolls coincides with the crossings returning to public ownership. The Government said it will undertake public consultation and investigate free-flow tolling – as offered on the Dartford Crossing – but there are no plans, as rumoured, for the tolls to be scrapped altogether.
