BRS contract boosts Allport fleet with Renault commercial vehicles

By / 12 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

The Hi-Tech logistics provider has taken delivery of five new Renault Premium 270.18 4×2 rigid trucks, fitted with specialist box bodies and 3 tonne capacity Dhollandia tail lifts. The trucks have been supplied by BRS Ltd. under a full three-year contract hire package.

The new Renault Premiums will be used by Allport Specialist Services in the delivery, positioning and installation of technical, sensitive and outsize consignments, such as ATM machines, gourmet coffee stations, computers and VT equipment. The trucks have been fully kitted out with specialist handling and installation equipment, such as stair climbing robots, for the positioning of bulky machinery in hard to access areas. The company’s clients include major banks, supermarkets, department stores, petrol forecourts and sporting venues.

As well as vehicle financing, the full service contract hire package will see BRS supply and manage a full repair and maintenance programme for the new vehicles and ancillaries, as well as ensuring legal compliance under a single monthly payment.

Graham Scholes, Operations director at BRS Ltd, said: ‘This is an exciting new account for BRS and we look forward to managing the business with Allport Specialist Services to meet their requirements and expectations. The advantage with Allport is that they benefit from both the Renault Trucks servicing agent and the BRS depot within a mile of their premises, which is a fantastic opportunity for further growth and development.

‘Our close relationship with Renault Trucks UK meant that we were able to offer Allport a premium product at an attractive price, as well as a high level of service based on the specification of the vehicles and support of the dealer network,’ he added/

Jamie Whyte, managing director, Allport Specialist Services, said: ‘Acquiring vehicles on a contract hire basis enables us to assess their whole life cost, including repair and maintenance. Not only did BRS offer us a good financial package, its close relationship with Renault Trucks means that we have the benefit of comprehensive service support through the Renault Trucks nationwide dealer network. We are delighted to have worked closely with BRS in specifying Renault as the latest additions to our fleet and the technical specification and efficiency of these new vehicles will allow us to continue to offer the very best solutions to our clients’ specialised transport requirements.’
