Brake teams up with Arval for additional Pledge training
Brake is teaming up with Arval to run an additional October training course for its Pledge campaign ahead of Road Safety Week 2016.
Taking place 21-27 November, this year’s Road Safety Week focuses on the Pledge and its six core principles of safe driving: Slow, Sober, Secure, Silent, Sharp and Sustainable.
Many employers use the Week as a springboard to launch year-round safety programmes, and the Pledge training course is a key tool for engaging employees with these key road safety messages.
The additional Pledge course will take place on Thursday 6 October in Birmingham (UK). Pledge training courses are also taking place on Wednesday 14 September in Manchester (UK), and Tuesday 6 December in Swindon (UK).
The courses will be delivered by Arval’s customer engagement manager Tracey Fuller, who is an experienced trainer and long-standing Brake supporter.
Course attendees will also receive access to Brake’s toolkit of Pledge resources, which includes advice for managers on delivering and implementing different areas of the Pledge, and also educational tools such as videos and posters on the six Pledge points.
Tracey Fuller said: “I know that 10 years on from having rolled out the Pledge programme within Arval that it has been a major factor in Arval for not only driving down collisions, saving money and reducing our insurance premium, but for changing the safety culture amongst our employees, putting road safety at the heart of our business. Don’t miss out on this extra Pledge date in October ahead of Road Safety Week in November – I promise if you come along you will be inspired to get involved and make a real difference during Road Safety Week.”
The courses are free to attend for Brake Professional members, and cost £90 + VAT for non-members. All non-members who attend will receive one year’s free Brake Professional membership.
