Brake Professional members can now get a free report on ‘Managing young at-work drivers’.

The new guide has been launched to help fleets manage the safety of young drivers

Developed in collaboration with training provider Fleetmaster, the report is aimed at fleets managing employees aged 17-24 who drive for work – either cars or vans – and outlines the main reasons why young drivers are at higher risk of being involved in a crash. It also recommends measures that organisations can put in place to reduce that risk. Practical advice on how companies can strive to eliminate road risk for their young employees is presented through best practice guidance alongside an industry case study.

In addition, advice laid out in the report focuses on why implementing key measures such as training in basic vehicle maintenance and monitoring of driver behaviour is crucial in every organisation.

Employers need to be actively engaging with their young drivers and implementing robust measures to help reduce their risk of being involved in a crash.”
