Brake podcasts to share solutions on safe and healthy roads
Brake has gone live with a series of podcasts exploring how we might reach Vision Zero, where no one is killed or seriously injured on roads.
The ‘Time to Zero In’ podcast series – available at https://zeroin.buzzsprout.com or on all major podcast streaming platforms – explores we can make the roads safer for everyone through latest developments and innovations.
The series will feature interviews with experts from across the road safety and healthy mobility community and launches with two episodes available to listen to. Episode 1 features Dr Nick Reed, an expert on the future of mobility, talking on connected and autonomous vehicles and their benefits and challenges. Episode 2 sees Dr Helen Wells, senior lecturer on criminology at Keele University, discuss roads policing and how best to enforce the rules of the road.
Joshua Harris, director of campaigns at Brake, said: “Every death and serious injury on the road is a tragedy that could have been prevented. The ‘Time to Zero In’ podcast is aimed at sharing the solutions that we know can eliminate death and serious injury from the roads. We hope this podcast series will help the public, professionals and decision-makers understand that safe and healthy roads are not only essential, but within our grasp.”
