Bott deploys first fully electric cars

Vehicle conversions specialist Bott has taken delivery of its first electric cars under its work to become more sustainable and environmentally conscious.

The existing e-Niro is already being used by Bott to visit clients and provide a visible sign of the company’s work to implement new low-carbon policies

The business already runs a fleet of plug-in hybrids from another brand but has now ordered a Kia e-Niro fully electric car, with another to follow.

The existing e-Niro is already being used by the company to visit clients and provide a visible sign of the company’s work to implement new low-carbon policies.

Following the successful integration of the electric car into its day-to-day workings and acceptance by staff, Bott has placed a second order for another Kia e-Niro with Marsh Kia Exeter, which had provided Bott with an extended business test drive.

Graham Wright, purchasing manager at Bott, commented: “We’ve run a fleet of plug-in hybrid cars for a while, and although they’ve proven great for fuel savings and served as an introduction to electric cars, the Kia e-Niro has far exceeded our expectations.

“Going electric as a company has benefited not only our staff who love the pure experience of driving electric, but also our customers who comment on the car and recognise it as a sign that Bott takes its carbon footprint seriously.

“The car is in constant use and staff practically fight over the keys to get to use it, so we had to order another one.”

Bott chose the Kia e-Niro for its practicality, reliability and seven-year/100,000 mile standard warranty, alongside its range; the electric Kia offers a 282-mile electric range from a single charge of its 64kWh battery.

Graham Wright added: “We looked at most other electric cars on the market, including some newer ones, but the Kia offers all that we require and more, plus is backed by its industry-leading and reassuring seven-year warranty.”
