BMW drivers in the UK will soon be able to use voice commands to check the vehicle’s battery charge and fuel level, as well as lock the vehicle remotely through Alexa-enabled devices.

BMW Connected integrates with Alexa

The BMW Connected personal digital mobility assistant will be available via an Alexa skill on all Alexa-enabled devices when the service is available in the UK and Germany.

The personal digital mobility assistant, which is already offered on iPhone, Apple Watch, and Android smartphones and smartwatches, will be available via an Alexa skill on all Alexa-enabled devices in the coming weeks in both the UK and Germany, with other markets to follow.

The integration will enable drivers to manage their mobility agenda and vehicle functions from home, including learning about their next scheduled trip, finding out what time to leave and sending the destination to their BMW.
