BEN automotive charity receives donated vehicle from Lex Autolease

The vehicle will be used to transport members from BEN’s workplace Day Care Centre in Coventry to hospital and medical appointments, with Lex also having donated a full service and maintenance package to eliminate ongoing running costs for the charity.

BEN runs five care centres around the country, including the Coventry Day Care centre, offering a range of services from specialist dementia care, to residential nursing and end of life care for those who work, or have worked, in the automotive and related industries, as well as their independents.

Nigel Williams, head of business innovation at BEN, said “BEN is extremely grateful to Lex Autolease for the provision of this vehicle which will be used by our Day Care centre in Coventry. The centre provides respite care facilities for people who have worked in the automotive industry. As a significant stakeholder in the automotive industry it’s fantastic to see Lex Autolease supporting the wider industry.”

This year has also seen Lex Autolease donate £1,420 to date to the charity through a number of fundraising events supported by colleagues across its UK offices. The events form part of its Business Community Scheme and its Helping Britain to Prosper plan.
