The company, which was established in 2002 by Nick and Joy Laister, will become part of BCA Logistics, with both founders joining BCA Logistics, along with the workforce of around 200 drivers and operational staff.

BCA Logistics said the move consolidates its position as a leading provider of single vehicle collection inspection and delivery in the UK market, and allows BCA to offer more logistics capability to a broader customer base.

BCA Logistics director Jonathan Higham commented: ‘We are delighted to welcome nkl automotive into BCA and look forward to integrating the high-quality range of services they offer to both new and existing customers.’

He added: ‘BCA Logistics handles over a quarter of a million vehicle moves annually, and this acquisition further enhances the range and flexibility of services we can offer our customers.  BCA Logistics will also utilise the nkl Goole facility to offer additional storage and refurbishment services.’

In tandem, BCA is developing a number of additional premium services in the logistics arena for fleet, lease and manufacturer customers. Higham concluded: ‘Logistics fulfilment is a key part of our strategy to develop and deliver market-leading solutions for our customers.’
