Barron McCann returns to Peugeot for £2m fleet upgrade

IT services specialist provider Barron McCann has taken delivery of 80 Peugeots under a £2m fleet upgrade.

The latest Peugeot 308 SW and 3008 SUV models have joined the Barron McCann fleet

The order includes 68 Peugeot 308 SW models, which will be used by the company’s engineers, and 12 Peugeot 3008 SUVs, which will be put to use by Barron McCann’s team leaders.

All models are powered by the BlueHDi 130 low-emission diesel. The 308 SW models all feature Allure specification with a mix of six-speed manual and eight-speed EAT8 automatic transmission while all 3008 SUV models feature the EAT8 transmission and have been supplied with a mix of Allure and GT Line specification.

Richard Johnson, leader – procurement & supply chain at Barron McCann, said: “Our customers expect and deserve the very highest service levels and a modern, well-maintained vehicle fleet plays a critical role in delivering that performance. Each vehicle is equipped with technology which helps us to reduce travelling time and distance, provides driving efficiency recommendations, and minimises emissions when queueing in busy areas. In addition, we have specified driver aids such as blind spot assistance, front and back proximity sensors, reversing cameras and drive time indicators, all with the intent of improving the driving experience of our engineers. We are proud to be fleet partners once again with Peugeot.”

“The 308 SW has proved to be a popular choice for many fleets, providing flexible accommodation, driver appeal and low cost of ownership with low emissions,” added Martin Gurney, fleet director at Peugeot, Citroën and DS Automobiles. “Not surprisingly, we think that Barron McCann has made an excellent choice and together with the 3008 SUV models present a modern, stylish fleet that will enhance the company’s image.”
