The insurer has carried out improvements to its van repairer network to ensure that all Aviva-approved repairers meet BSI kite mark and vehicle manufacturer standards. Aviva's approved repairers cater for commercial and private vehicles and are available to all policy holders who own a van or a light commercial vehicle weighing up to 3.5 tonnes.

One enhancement is that all repair work carried out by an Aviva approved repairer is guaranteed for three years.

Minifleet and Fleetwise customers can benefit from additional cover enhancements with a courtesy van when they notify Aviva of their claim. The courtesy van provided includes business use cover so they can keep their business moving whilst their own van is being repaired.

Teresa Copping, motor claims director at Aviva, said: 'We know van drivers rely on their vehicle in order to earn their living.  The new courtesy cover will allow our customers to stay on the road, safe in the knowledge that their own van is in the capable hands of a BSI kite mark approved repairer being repaired to the highest standard.'
