Headquartered in Uxbridge, Middlesex, Specialist Vehicle Services operates from a network of strategically placed rental hubs around the UK, providing flexible and convenient nationwide coverage.

The business will be headed up by Lorraine Farnon, managing director of AVH, who commented on the rationale behind the new company: 'The big challenge for many of the wholesale providers of vehicles – the fleet and leasing companies – is getting access to specialist vehicles to meet the specific needs of their clients. We have, therefore, developed a proposition to provide specialist vehicles that do not generally feature as part of rental companies’ fleet.

'Our approach is to provide those vehicles that are non core to the rental sector.  The SVS proposition is to acquire and operate specialist vehicles to fleet intermediaries rather than Corporate end users. We will purchase the vehicles and manage the rental to the client’s specific requirements.'
