Autoquake wins global award for online excellence

By / 14 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

The ecommerce company is the only car retailer to be awarded a place in the AlwaysOn Global 250, which lists the leading private companies in on-demand computing, digital media and entertainment, and green technology. The list is compiled by business media brand AlwaysOn. Other companies on the list include household names such as Facebook, Spotify and Twitter.

'After examining the companies that are on the AO Global 250 list, it's obvious that innovation is not only alive and well in the Global Silicon Valley, it's accelerating in economic power and scope,' said Tony Perkins, founder and editor of AlwaysOn. 'The companies certainly represent some of the highest-growth opportunities in the private company marketplace.'

Commenting on Autoquake’s inclusion in the prestigious AlwaysOn Global 250 list, Autoquake’s CEO, Dermot Halpin, said: 'We’re delighted by this recognition. Autoquake has pioneered selling used cars over the internet, and continues to set the standard in online car retailing.

'We’re continuing to develop our website and expand our stock to give customers a better buying experience and greater choice than before.'

This is the most recent of many awards for the online car retailer. Autoquake was named Best Car Supermarket Website of the Year at the Auto Trader Click Awards 2009. Other recent awards include a Hitwise Top 10 Website award for July–Dec 2009 and the Internet Award in the Fleet World Honours 2009.
