Autoglass appoints Graham Palin as head of central operations
Palin brings over 20 years of experience to Autoglass within key operational and commercial roles within the automotive industry. Over the last five years he served as head of AA Autowindshields and was responsible for the integration of a mobile vehicle glass repair and replacement operation.
In his new role, he will lead all centrally managed operational teams at the vehicle glass repair and replacement specialist, including its three Service Delivery Centres and network of District Support Teams.
Palin will also drive initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of internal systems and processes with the aim of optimising the performance and productivity of technicians and technical and product support teams, improving customer appointment scheduling, and ultimately further advancing time to serve for customer.
Palin will also play a key role in the operational delivery of Autoglass’s technical solution for ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) systems such as autonomous emergency braking (AEB) and adaptive cruise control.
Following a windscreen replacement, some ADAS systems need to be recalibrated to ensure they are functioning correctly. Autoglass is soon to launch a national solution for ADAS calibration for both dynamic and static calibration. Over 120 mobile technicians have already been trained and equipped and a pilot is well underway.
Taxiarchis Konstantopoulos, managing director of Autoglass, said: “I’m confident that Graham’s expertise will complement our overarching goal to deliver an outstanding customer experience to all that place their trust in us.”
