The Black Edition version of the Audi Q3 is on sale from this month

The move comes as the sporty specification returns to the A3 and TT ranges, with Audi saying that a growing number of buyers are opting for it.

Depending on the model, the trim brings additional equipment including black styling pack, privacy glass, piano black inlays and Audi, BOSE or Bang & Olufsen sound system upgrades.

The Q3 range gains Black Edition specification for the first time as part of a package of upgrades. Replacing the S line plus model, it adds in the black styling package and 19-inch 10-Y-spoke design alloy wheels with black diamond cut finish as well as standard metallic paint, privacy glass and a BOSE sound system upgrade. The Q3 Black Edition is priced from £34,550 OTR.

S6 Saloon and Avant and S7 Sportback Black Edition models gain similar styling revisions with 20-inch five twin spoke alloy wheels for the S6 models and a 21-inch five-arm design for the S7 Sportback Black Edition models. Inside, in addition to piano black inlays, both models gain a BOSE sound system and a flat-bottomed multi-function steering wheel. Pricing is from £59,440 OTR for the S6 Black Edition with the S7 Sportback Black Edition from £66,780 OTR.

For the A3 three-door, five-door Sportback and Saloon ranges, the Black Edition specification builds on from the top S line trim and adds special 18-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels with a matt titanium finish and darkened privacy glass plus a 10-speaker Audi Sound System.

S3 three-door and Sportback Black Edition models include 18-inch five-arm design wheels, while S3 Saloon Black Edition models upgrade to a 19-inch five-arm design – all three variants gain a Bang & Olufsen audio system. A3 Black Edition prices start from £26,565 OTR with the S3 Black Edition from £33,880 OTR.

TT and TTS Coupe and Roadster Black Edition versions gain 19-inch five-spoke Blade design alloy wheels and Bang & Olufsen audio plus an additional powered wind deflector for the Roadster. The TT Black Edition is priced from £31,735 OTR, with the TTS Black Edition from £41,285 OTR.
