ATS Euromaster to increase MOT availability across network

The nationwide fast-fit expert is to increase the number of centres performing MOTs by 20% to 100 centres before the end of 2010, with a similar increase planned for 2011.

Huw Williams, group marketing director at ATS Euromaster, said: 'Expanding our MOT coverage is a natural step forward for the business. The increase in the number of company vehicles being kept beyond three years means many more businesses are now requiring MOTs for their fleet.

‘Fleet managers are under increasing pressure to trim running costs, and by ramping up our SMR offering, we can help them to meet that challenge head-on,’ he added.

The growth in MOT availability follows the firm's investment this year in Bosch diagnostic equipment across the ATS Euromaster network. This enables the company's technicians to read error codes, carry out complex fault diagnostics and service electronic braking systems on most and car models, providing a flexible and low-cost alternative to visiting a main dealer according to the firm.

ATS Euromaster has also introduced air-conditioning servicing at 11 of its centres on a trial basis in 2010 and says that if the service proves popular, it will roll it out across the network during 2011.
