Arval webinar to advise on fleet electrification ahead of COP26

Arval is hosting a webinar to give insight into the electrification process for fleets and share sustainability expertise.

The webinar takes place on Wednesday 29 September and will see experts help put COP26 and the 2030 ICE ban into context for fleets

Taking place on Wednesday 29 September at 11am, the webinar will see experts help to put COP26 and the 2030 petrol and diesel ban into context for fleets.

Arval UK’s head of consultancy Shaun Sadlier will provide strategic insight into the electrification process, followed by some of the UK’s largest fleets. And Alexandra Basirov, global head of sustainable finance fic at BNP Paribas will share sustainability expertise from the financial services sector.

Paul Hyne, commercial director Arval UK and moderator of the webinar, explained: “COP26 is headline news and provides a perfect platform to start a conversation within businesses about the strategic transition to electric and zero-emission vehicles in fleets of all sizes across the country.

“Similar to our sector, the financial services industry is challenged to make sustainability real and tangible in its operations and offerings to customers. That’s where we believe the expertise from one of the world’s largest global banking networks, BNP Paribas, will be of help to attendees.”

The webinar is being run as the first of two in a series; the second is scheduled for Thursday 4 November and will offer the chance to hear direct from a UK household brand on their transition journey to electric vehicles.

Hyne added: “For those who are involved in fleet management, this is a must join event where you’ll learn some simple steps to an effective fleet transition and understand why you need to plan now for the 2030 ban.”
