Launched this month, it builds on the pilot of Arval Total Care launched last year, which allows fleets to add a package including accident management, damage cover and breakdown assistance for the duration of their contract, at a fixed price.

The new product will roll out through its small business and broker channels through quarter one, enabling businesses to lease vehicles through Arval and take out a policy which covers their entire fleet, without needing to involve a separate insurance company.

‘Outside the UK it’s been offered for many years, but it’s the start of something new and genuinely innovative in the UK marketplace,’ said Robert Pieczka, business development & marketing director at Arval UK. ‘We’ve got countries where virtually 100% take insurance too, but in the UK it’s seen as the insurers’ domain. So we’re hoping for serious inroads.’
