AppyWay and Safo tie-up could cut fleet PCNs

A new partnership between parking app provider AppyWay and fleet management software firm Safo could cut the number of Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) that fleets receive by providing them with kerbside restriction information.

The partnership will see Safo fleet software end users be given the option of in-depth kerbside restriction data for more than 300 UK towns and cities

The agreement will see fleets using Safo’s software be given the option of in-depth data for more than 300 UK towns and cities, including length of bay, bay count, paid bays, disabled bays, EV bays, motorcycle bays, free bays, loading bays, resident bays, and car club bays, all said to be with up to 1m accuracy.

The data is expected to be able to help drivers make more informed decisions on suitable parking, cutting the time taken to find a space as well as the possibility of a PCN for bad parking.

AppyWay’s CEO and founder, Dan Hubert said: “By partnering with Safo we can bring our vision of making parking forgettable to fleets and fleet managers. Along with the implications to business operations through PCNs and impoundments, searching for parking clogs up city streets resulting in greater congestion and emissions, and parking illegally creates safety and accessibility concerns for vulnerable road users. Ensuring a vehicle is parked correctly benefits both the fleet and the communities they operate in.”
