Annual Ranking of Top European Leasing Companies published by Leaseurope
The Ranking of Top European Leasing Companies report covers 25 different countries including both EU and non-EU member states and takes in the 46 member associations represented by Leaseurope, which in turn represent over 1,300 leasing companies accounting for approximately 93% of the entire European leasing market in 2010.
This year, 99 companies participated in this exercise, of which 70 are parent or standalone companies (bank related, captive or independent leasing companies) and 29 are classified as subsidiaries.
These firms are ranked according to the value of their new contracts in 2010, with the top 10 as follows:
1 BNP PARIBAS Equipment Solutions
2 UniCredit Leasing
3 SG Equipment Finance France
4 Volkswagen Leasing GmbH
5 Deutsche Leasing Germany
6 ING Lease Netherlands
7 CREDIT AGRICOLE LEASING & FACTORING France
8 De Lage Landen International B.V. Netherlands
9 Leasint – Centro Leasing "Gruppo ISP"
10 Nordea Finance Sweden
Leaseurope advises that although it attempts to present an accurate representation of the ranking figures, the research is not exhaustive as while all European leasing firms are invited to take part in the survey, participation is on a voluntary basis.
The full version of the Ranking is available to Leaseurope members and participating leasing firms only.
In addition, Leaseurope will shortly release a new statistical publication, the Leaseurope Index. The Index is designed to complement existing Leaseurope products, such as the Annual Statistical Enquiry and the Ranking Survey and comprises a quarterly survey of a sample of European leasing and automotive rental companies. In addition to volumes and portfolios, the survey tracks cost/income, profitability, cost of risk ratios.
The results of the first issue of the Leaseurope Index for Q1 2011 and 2010 will be published soon. For more of the latest industry news, click here.
