AMT Group to expand after securing additional funding

The Leeds-headquartered business, which was established in 1995, is increasing its 1100-strong UK-wide fleet, with 30 additional high-end vehicles, after securing a £2m asset finance package from Yorkshire Bank in Leeds.

The privately-owned firm is also planning to double its fleet in size over the next 24 months, as well as add two further rental locations. AMT Group employs 180 staff across its seven locations in Leeds, Livingston, Gatwick, Bristol, Nuneaton, London and the recently opened Manchester rental facility.

Neil McGawley, managing director of AMT Group, said: “This further backing from Yorkshire Bank will allow us to provide the quality of vehicle our customers expect, in a competitive marketplace. This investment in our fleet is particularly important as we look to increase our presence in the north west of England with the recent opening of our Manchester facility. We are appreciative of the support being provided by Yorkshire Bank, and look forward to an ongoing mutually beneficial relationship.”
