AMT Group continues expansion plans with new appointment

Previously marketing manager at commercial vehicle parts specialist Imexpart limited, Thompson brings almost 20 years’ worth of marketing experience.

At AMT she will head up a new internal marketing department and her time will be split looking after the AMT group companies: rental, contract hire & leasing and specialist car sales. Her remit will be to formulate and execute comprehensive marketing plans, build brand awareness and help to build communication with corporate, personal and leisure customers.

Neil McGawley, managing director of AMT Group, said: "We are delighted that Heather has joined us. She has a wealth of marketing knowledge and the expertise needed to help us drive forward with our ambitious expansion plans."

He continued: “In 2015 we’re focusing on growth and development and our plans are well underway. A number of big changes have already happened. In March, we moved our head office to a new 50,000 square foot site in Leeds, this gives us the added opportunity to expand to our specialist retail sales facility and the much needed extra space for our increasing numbers of staff. Plus, we’re shortly opening a seventh rental depot in Manchester. And, we’re well on the way to relocating our Enfield and Bristol rental premises to larger more prestigious sites, which will further expand our nationwide coverage.”
