Thornton was previously with the Morrisons supermarket chain and has experience managing Customer Services and IT Service Desks.

In her new role, she will develop all activities of the call centre to support the rental division’s continued growth strategy and deliver on some challenging targets.

Thornton said: "I’m really thrilled at joining AMT at this exciting time in their development and looking forward to my new challenge. Central Reservation teams are so vital to an organisation, especially one that offers such a niche fleet of vehicles like AMT.
