Alphabet ramps up for further public sector growth

By / 10 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

As part of its plans, the firm has recruited fleet specialist Simon Barr as sales manager.

Formerly business development manager at Venson Automotive Solutions, Barr brings more than 12 years’ experience and knowledge to Alphabet’s dedicated public sector division. He will play a key part in developing relationships with housing associations, NHS Trusts and local authorities, with a view to increasing their understanding of Alphabet’s full product portfolio and reducing mobility costs.

Commenting on his appointment, Barr said: ‘The range of products which Alphabet is able to provide to the public sector is second to none; from duty of care programmes, through to flexible mobility solutions and electric vehicle consultancy, we can offer a bespoke service to meet any client requirement. I’m excited to join the team at such a successful period and look forward to driving further growth for Alphabet in the public sector market.’

Hs appointment comes as Alphabet reports record annual orders and says it’s leading the fleet industry for public sector business across the CCS (formerly GPS) framework.

Clive Buhagiar, head of public sector at Alphabet, commented: ‘With stretched budgets and concern over fleet efficiency, a focus on reducing costs and streamlining mobility operations is quickly becoming a key priority for public sector organisations. We have invested significantly in developing a number of new products and services to minimise fleet costs and provide complete mobility solutions for organisations across the UK and Europe.’

The firm added that further developments are in the pipeline.
