Alliance Asset Management to launch 4×4 mini-lease scheme in time for harsh winter
The severe weather during the last two winters has sent fleet demand for 4x4s soaring and, in many cases, supply has been outstripped. As a result, many companies have been unable to source 4x4s and short-term vehicle hire prices have rocketed where rental firms have been able to meet customer requests.
Vincent St Claire, of Alliance Asset Management, said: ‘Companies should order 4x4s now to ensure they have vehicles available when the harsh winter weather arrives. Whilst our product requires a commitment of three to four months, we feel confident that it will work out cheaper for customers making this relatively short commitment.
‘Forecasters are already warning that the first harsh winter weather could arrive as early as next month so it makes sense for forward-thinking fleet operators to be prepared.
‘With spot-hire rates for 4x4s around £100 a day and around £250 a day for a prestige Range Rover, Alliance’s price of £500 per month excluding insurance and fuel is extremely cost-effective and represents a significant financial saving when compared with short-term rental rates.
Mr St Claire added: ‘We have secured a significant supply of several hundred 4x4s and expect a high demand for these vehicles. We would urge customers to place their orders now to ensure that key personnel have vehicles at their disposal when the snow and ice arrives and not to wait and leave themselves exposed to the vagaries of the marketplace.’For more of the latest industry news, click here.
