Airmax Connect delivers pre-emptive SMR for OEMs, leasing and rental firms

Airmax Remote has introduced a new asset management telematics solution to provide OEMs, leasing and car rental firms with data insights for effective SMR.

Richard Perham, managing director of Airmax Remote

Dubbed Airmax Connect, it remotely monitors customer fleets and alerts operators to any maintenance issues, vehicle status and health monitoring with remote vehicle diagnostics across their fleet of vehicles. It also records the location of vehicle fleets, including daily rental, short-term hire and contract-hire vehicles.

It uses CANBus connectivity with an OBD installation method and can access data from all brands of vehicles, with a 99.4% compatibility rate.

The data enables the leasing provider to schedule servicing and repairs, and replacement vehicles if needed. It also enables providers to be more proactive on pooled mileage schemes, end-of-life residual values and it complements existing processes such as FNOL – bringing a range of customer benefits too.

The solution forms part of Airmax Remote’s vehicle maintenance suite of data, which complements existing vehicle DTCs (diagnostic trouble codes), vehicle warning notifications, absolute ODO readings, variable service data (where enabled) and condition base service information.

In addition, through Airmax Remote’s partner programme, tiered service levels can be provided to end user fleet managers for wider telematics services.

Richard Perham, managing director at Airmax Remote, said: “The launch of Airmax Connect completes our full suite of data-led solutions that empower fleet operators. Telematics isn’t considered a commodity – for our customers, it’s considered a business tool customised for their every business need. Connect delivers robust and insightful data ensuring peace-of-mind for fleet operators.”
