AFP webinar to help fleets create mobility strategies

A new webinar outlining how to create a formal mobility strategy is to be hosted by the Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP).

The webinar is being run on the back of rising AFP member demand for guidance on creating mobility strategies

The ‘Getting Started on Your Mobility Deployment’ discussion will take place at 9:30am on Wednesday 8 September and features presentations from Ryan Coles, business services lead at Aviva; Oz Choudhri, head of mobility solutions at Enterprise; and Ross Basnett, strategic account director at Mobilleo. It will be hosted by AFP director Julie Summerell and ends at 10:45am.

The webinar is being run on the back of rising AFP member demand for guidance in this area.

Paul Hollick, chair at the AFP, explained: “In the fleet sector, there is obviously much talk at the moment about the transition to electrification but there is also another, perhaps equally important development underway – that of evolving from fleet to mobility strategies.

“To some extent, the pandemic has created a pause in this process because many mobility services are based on shared use of assets but, as things return to some kind of normality, we are seeing interest in the subject revive quickly.

“The new webinar, which we are expecting to be very popular, is designed to help fleet managers take their first steps towards creating their initial formal mobility strategies, with the help of some of the sector’s leading experts.”

The AFP is also holding a webinar on ‘EV Charging – Company Payment and Reimbursements’ this month. It takes place on Wednesday 15 September and will include sessions from AFP chair Paul Hollick in his guise as managing director of The Miles Consultancy (TMC) and Ashley Tate, Co-Founder at MINA, finishing at 10:00am.
