Advantage Smollan makes shift to Peugeot 308 SW diesels

Peugeot has won a deal to supply Advantage Smollan with a fleet of 50 308 SW models for use by the company’s REL Field Marketing team.

The 308 SW replaces a model from a rival brand on Advantage Smollan’s REL fleet

The contract sees the global outsourced sales and marketing solutions provider switch to the Peugeot 308 SW1.5 BlueHDi 130 after some 10 years of using a model from a rival brand.

“This is a watershed moment for Advantage Smollan because for the last 10 years we have always bought a competitor product,” said David Millar, procurement manager at Advantage Smollan. “In this instance, the remit from the clients meant that Peugeot had the best offering in the marketplace compared to other manufacturers. We were able to get the cars on budget, providing the right tool for the job of the client, at a spec level that was attractive to the drivers! Just as important were the good P11D value and CO2 figures.”

The 308 SW diesel was also chosen for its capacious luggage space and safety features.

“The style and practicality of the 308 SW has clearly proved a winner for Advantage Smollan, along with the high level of safety and security equipment fitted to the cars as standard,” said Martin Gurney, Groupe PSA UK fleet director. “Winning a fleet order from an established competitor is terrific news for Peugeot and we are delighted that the Peugeot 308 SW matches Advantage Smollan’s requirements so closely.”
