In line with the new real time checking solution offered by DVLA, Admin Business Solutions has upgraded its Driver Licence Checking software to incorporate this, enabling fleets access to check their driver’s licences 24/7. ABS is awaiting approval from the DVLA for Electronic Consent; this will reduce the administration burden of drivers having to fill out the current DVLA consent forms.

ABS’ core solution is Fleet Management and since 1998 the company has offered dedicated outsourcing services to some of the largest fleet companies within the UK. They have now taken their expertise and have developed a range of electronic services including Telematics, Fines Management and Mobile Phone Blocking Software to name but a few.

Integration with their Telematics, Fines Management solution and Driver Licence checking software allows companies to have a full fleet analysis. ABS use data from the Telematics system to report all high risk drivers that fall into certain categories, speeding, harsh breaking etc., these drivers are at a higher risk of receiving fines. Data from ABS’ Fines Manager, of actual fines received against vehicle and driver, is merged with the Telematics information and cross referenced with the Driver Licence Checking system. ABS then sends a notification about all drivers that have increased their risk status since their last check to provide a true picture across the fleet company.

Fleetsafer, by ABS, puts you in control of how your fleet drivers use their mobile phones whilst out on the road. This easy to use software enables you to silence calls and messages to your employees’ phones while they are driving. As the vehicle begins to move the mobile phone, or other communication device, is automatically disabled ensuring safe, legal and responsible use of mobile devices while driving.
