ADESA UK expands UK coverage with second defleet centre

ADESA UK, part of KAR Global, has expanded its second defleet centre on a 21-acre site in Doncaster, Yorkshire, to meet growing demand for its online remarketing services.

ADESA UK managing director Jonathan Holland

The opening of the secure site, built on a former RAF base, follows last year’s launch of the firm’s inaugural site in Newbury, and represents the latest investment helping to expand the company’s UK footprint.

The Doncaster defleet centre will be used to store, process, clean and photograph vehicles from major leasing companies and corporate fleets before being uploaded to ADESA’s remarketing platform.

Latest onsite remarketing solutions at the site include ADESA IVI (Intelligent Vehicle Inspection), the AI-enabled appraisal solution and AuctionTrac, the web-based vehicle tracking technology, helping reduce the time it takes to get a vehicle listed online.

Jonathan Holland, managing director of ADESA UK, said: “The quicker we can get vehicles uploaded and appearing online, the quicker a dealer can source that inventory and our sellers can maximise their returns.

“The new Doncaster de-fleet centre allows us to process more vehicles in a timely manner — helping us disrupt lengthy mainstream turnaround times and create a more seamless, best-in-class experience for our customers in northern England.”

“It’s our priority to meet the growing volume of our sellers and provide greater coverage across the UK,” explained Holland.

“Our network of de-fleeting centres in Newbury and Doncaster are key strategic investments that are helping us make remarketing faster, easier and more efficient than ever before.”
