ACFO is to run a post-Budget webinar to provide members with an insight into the fleet impact of all announcements.

Hosted by ACFO deputy chairman Caroline Sandall, the event will take place 48 hours after the Budget on Friday 24 November and will also enable members to ask questions as to how specific government decisions will impact on their own fleet operations.

Further ACFO webinars throughout 2018 will provide ACFO members with the latest information on key announcements by legislators in Europe, Whitehall and at a local government level.

The news follows the recent announcement that the organisation is replacing its twice-a-year regional meetings with webinars to help decision-makers struggling to find the time to attend meetings. However, ACFO will continue to host its twice-a-year day-long seminars, which also serve as member networking events.

ACFO is also running an election for the post of regional chairman, which will be held on Friday 10 November. As previously announced, the association is to reduce to one region with the chairman and secretary acting as the link between ACFO’s six-strong board of directors and its membership.

Two members – Julie Summerell, managing director, TR Fleet, and Lee Corrigan, car fleet manager, Skanska UK – are running for the role, with the winner to be announced at the 2017 ACFO Awards on Thursday 16 November.

James Pestell, currently secretary of ACFO’s East Anglia Region, is the only nomination for regional secretary so is elected unopposed.
