AA teams with Silence UK for electric breakdown concept

The AA has teamed up with urban ecomobility organisation Silence UK to produce a concept electric e-moto scooter.

The concept Silence e-moto scooter has been adapted to carry the necessary tools to get urban drivers back on the road quickly

Developed to provide a sustainable and accessible transportation option, the concept Silence e-moto scooter has been adapted to carry the necessary tools to get urban drivers back on the road quickly.

It’s the latest project between the AA and Silence UK and also furthers the AA’s work in exploring alternative methods to enable patrols to better support urban drivers.

Gavin Franks, business services director at the AA, commented: “We are thrilled to be working with Silence UK to explore the concept of an e-moto scooter as a roadside assistance vehicle. As an organisation, we are always striving to find innovative methods which will transform our service for many of our customers and enable us to evolve as the automotive landscape does. Through the use of Silence UK e-moto scooters we could potentially reduce our emissions and improve our roadside support service.”

John Edwards, one of the founders of Silence UK, said: “We are excited to help the AA explore options for zero-emissions roadside support. They have been our partner from day one, so this concept vehicle is a natural extension of our relationship. Our all-electric scooters are exceptional business tools, already playing key roles in fleets across Europe and we think they could make a real difference to the AA and their customers.”
