2015 SEAT Alhambra to bring more efficient engines

“Alhambra has seen a year of record sales in 2014. Innovation, driving fun, utility and safety are the keywords for the new-generation Alhambra, making it the perfect partner for an active lifestyle,” said Jürgen Stackmann, chairman of the Executive Committee SEAT, SA. “Its compelling concept combines the very best functionality and state-of-the-art technology with an excellent standard of quality and workmanship. Plus, in true SEAT fashion, it offers incredible value for money.”

Design changes see new rear lights with LED technology in line with the latest SEAT family design as well as the new brand logo featured in a revised front grille. The 2015 model also brings new wheel designs.

The interior comes with new trim colours, a steering wheel design taken from the SEAT Leon and revised control elements as well as keyless entry and start system.

The engine-line up in the UK continues with 148 and 181bhp 2.0 TDI engines as well as a 148bhp 1.4 TSI petrol but all engines are now Euro 6 compliant and are up to 15% more efficient.

As a result, the 148bhp 2.0 TDI now returns an official combined figure of 57.6 mpg, with 130g/km.

All engines can be combined with the DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission, which now features a fuel-saving coasting function.

The new Alhambra comes with a new generation of SEAT Easy Connect infotainment systems. These include high-resolution touchscreen displays and faster processing with improved connectivity.

The multi-collision brake system now comes as standard equipment in the New Alhambra whilst new options include the Blind-Spot Sensor, DCC (Dynamic Chassis Control) and massage seats.

The new Alhambra will arrive at dealerships this summer, with UK pre-ordering starting at the end of May.
