2015 Mitsubishi ASX goes on sale

Changes include subtle styling revisions, such the addition of two-tone 18-inch alloy wheels and more dynamic looking wheel arches to the mid and high-specification ASX models. The interior also gains a new leather and gloss black steering wheel with thumb grips and audio control.

There’s also a change to the trim level naming, with the new line-up consisting of the entry-level ASX ZC, the mid-level ASX ZC-M, and the range-topping ASX ZC-H. Standard equipment includes alloy wheels, air conditioning, Active Stability and Traction Control, remote keyless entry and seven airbags.

Engine line-up sees the ASX gain a new Euro 6-compliant 1.6 Di-D turbo-diesel, offering 112bhp and 119g/km CO2, and available in two and four-wheel drive. This is joined by a 1.6 petrol with 115bhp and the existing 2.2 DOHC 16V engine found in the Outlander, with the petrol only available in 2WD and the larger diesel with just 4WD.

The new ASX range has a choice of transmissions. Mated to the 1.5 petrol engine is a 5-speed manual gearbox, whilst the 1.6 diesel engine has a six-speed manual box on both its 2WD and 4WD models. The 2.2 diesel is only available with a six-speed auto with steering column mounted paddle shifters.

The ASX comes with five-year warranty, 12-year anti-corrosion perforation warranty, three-year pan-European roadside, home and accident assistance.

Prices start at £15,249 for the ASX ZC 1.6 Petrol and rise to £24,899 for the ASX ZC-H 2.2 Diesel 4WD.
