2013 Motorexpo to put focus on fleet

By / 11 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

The 18th annual Motorexpo, the world’s largest free-to-visit motoring event, takes place at Canary Wharf from 10-16 June 2013 and promises to be the biggest motor show in the UK this year.

On Friday 14th June ACFO is hosting a free-to-attend two-hour seminar on “Fleet Management in a Changing World”. The seminar is open to non-ACFO members and will see expert speakers provide insight into running a fleet and tackle a wide range of key issues ranging from policy design through to hands-on management.

ACFO director Caroline Sandall, fleet manager at Barclays Bank, and one of the seminar speakers, said: ‘Motorexpo organisers want to attract a more fleet-orientated audience to the event. Canary Wharf and the surrounding area is full of businesses and the majority of those organisations employ people with either full or part-time fleet responsibility.

‘ACFO is working with Motorexpo organisers to attract those people to the event and the seminar is an additional reason for visiting.’

Ms Sandall will focus on the role of the company car in rewarding employees in her seminar presentation and the programme also includes:

  • Dan Rees, senior manager, Deloitte Car Consulting, on how best to structure a company car scheme in light of changes in tax and other legislation
  • Richard Cox, key solutions consultant, GE Capital UK, on insights around incentives for good driver behaviour and improving the environmental performance of a fleet
  • Mike Schulkins, relationship director, Barclays Asset Finance, on the economic outlook and the likely future direction of fiscal policy and its impact on a fleet
  • Ian Featherstone, knowledge manager, Energy Saving Trust, on the
  • Plugged-In Fleets Initiative and the potential for electric vehicles in fleets
  • A panel discussion and Q&A.

The seminar starts at 11.20am, with registration and light refreshments available from 11.00am. Lunch and a networking opportunity will follow the conclusion of the seminar.

To register for the seminar email [email protected] or telephone ACFO Members’ Services Organisation on 01865 342102.
