U&M Group renews Ctrack contract for efficiency gains

By / 13 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

The company is running the technology on its fleet of 44 vans and has already achieved greater visibility and control over its mobile assets, including a 20% reduction in accidents. Ctrack has been rolled out by U&M Group across its four core businesses – M25 Scaffolding, Bush Hill Construction, U&M Basements and Underpin & Makegood. The system has provided added insight into the fleet operation by providing real-time and historical data that has contributed not only to increased fleet performance, but also helped control costs.

U&M Group is now planning to integrate the technology with a fuel management tool to ensure operating costs are kept to a minimum. As part of the contract extension, the group will receive a technology upgrade with added fleet management and reporting functionality. Fuel management has been identified as a key aspect of the system, so the new solution will combine fuel data from other back office systems with tracking information to measure and control usage of individual vehicles.

In particular, it will enable the company to monitor and capture real-time movements to ensure vehicles are driven efficiently, avoid unnecessary journeys and remain on-route.

David Gakhar, managing director at U&M Group, commented: 'The Ctrack system has allowed us to proactively manage our vehicle fleet and external workforce to improve performance and reduce costs. We have worked closely with Ctrack to upgrade the existing solution to meet our business priorities moving forward.'
